MACEDON. Sermyle. Circa 500-470 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 16 mm, 2.36 g). Bearded and nude horseman to right, holding his left hand behind the horse's neck and holding his right on the left side of his horse's rump. Rev. Quadripartite incuse with leaf-shaped projection in each quarter. AMNG III/2, 5-6. HGC 3.1, 663. SNG ANS 725. Svoronos, HPM 25a and pl. XII, 26 ('Bisaltai'). Rare. Slightly granular and with minor die shift on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
